Unyoked: Yo Hugh, talk us through what’s in these meal-kits you’ve pulled together for us. We’re particularly curious about these epic looking anchovies…
Hugh: The boxes come with everything you need for your Unyoked experience. We vary the contents based on the seasons and what we think is the best of what’s available. Think granola and fruit in the peak of its season, the best charcuterie and cheese available in Aus, our beautiful fresh, handmade pasta + sauces and yes, Ragazzi’s famous anchovies with chive butter on our house-made sourdough.
Unyoked: Hell. yeah. Brb, just got pretty hungry for some reason…
Unyoked: You know we’re all about minimalism and getting back to earlier times here dude, what do you think? Is there something to be said for cooking with less, not more?
Hugh: In my opinion, it’s always better to cook simply but with beautiful ingredients. In our packs you will find the best meats, cheese and conservas available in the country! As Ferran Adria said, “a very good sardine is always preferable to a not that good lobster.”
Unyoked: We’re all about the slow vibes Hugh, but you know sometimes you want to just get to a place of mindfulness quickly, when it’s one of those days/weeks right? Talk to us about making the food while you were out at the cabin - is it pretty easy to make killer pasta out there?
Hugh: Easy as pie! Easier than pie actually. All you need to do is boil some water, heat your sauce, combine the two with a splash of the cooking water and it’s chow time! Then put your feet up and enjoy the serenity.
Unyoked: The best cooking implement that’s totally underrated. What is it?
Hugh: A rubber spatula!! Never waste a drop of anything ever again!
Unyoked: What’s more important - daytime naps or nightcaps?
Hugh: Nightcaps! Hand me the amaro!
