Being out here makes you see things in a different way. Waking up early isn’t hard anymore, while the sun is slowly rising you wake up feeling well rested and excited for whats next to come…which is coffee.
I start heating up the water jug while stretching my arms up to the sky, looking outside I see nothing but green forest.
The fire warm us up while we sip our coffee. I feel so good.
Still waking up from our night’s sleep we watch the sky, trying to figure out what the weather is going to do today. I’m hoping it will stay cool so we can keep the fire going. I love sitting here reading, having conversations and hearing the fire crackle in the background.
Things that I wouldn't find time for back in the city are now my top priorities. I write, I read, I do yoga, I cook food. Lots of healthy food. It tastes better outside, I don’t know why. But it does.
When it’s time for a glass of wine we move to the “living room” aka the front porch. From here we can hear the cassettes player in the cabin. The music is echoing through the forest, we agree with each other that you don’t need more than this to be happy.
The end.
